4. Sexual Content

There is swearing and sexual discussion, and some mild sex scenes between the main character and her boyfriend (when both are twenty years old). This involves loss of virginity without the knowledge of how to minimize the pain, but there is enthusiastic consent on both sides.

No pregnancies occur during the story. However, there are multiple abstract discussions of pregnancy and abortion, including one heated argument at the end between the narrator and antagonist.

This scene also makes abstract references to other upsetting topics such as sexual assault.

There is a character who inappropriately touches the narrator's breast to provoke a fight with her boyfriend.

There is a character who tries to have a sexual experience but realizes in the process that she is asexual. She is distressed by the realization, but most of the group is very supportive.

There is an argument afterwards in which one other character suggests that asexuality can only be caused by sexual trauma, and others disagree strongly with him.
